2018 State Convention Highlights

The Libertarian Party of Iowa (LPIA) held their state convention on March 24th, 2018, the first following the caucus-to-convention process earned when the LPIA achieved major party status during the 2016 election.

The weekend events featured Libertarian Party presidential candidate Adam Kokesh, keynote speaker C. Michael Pickens, FreedomWorks’ Tyler Williams and activist/singer/songwriter Jordan Page, known for his music during the Ron Paul movement, as entertainment.

As well, Iowa Gubernatorial Candidates Marco Battaglia and Jake Porter gave a spirited debate, moderated by C. Michael Pickens, which highlighted their libertarian solutions to real Iowa issues.
