About The LPIA

The Libertarian Party of Iowa is a major political party in Iowa with nearly 10,000 registered voters, 6 elected party members, and in 2016 ran 23 candidates which per capita was the 5th most in the country for the Libertarian Party.

From 2012 until today, the party grew from 1,500 registered voters to almost 10,000 and in 2016 ran more candidates than any prior election year in the 40-year history of the state party.
