Longtime former Chair of the Libertarian Party of Iowa (LPIA), Edward B. Wright, of rural Guthrie County, has been appointed to Chair of the LPIA. Recent past Chair, Michael Conner Jr, of Knoxville, resigned and was simultaneously removed from office by the LPIA Judicial Committee. Internal investigations are ongoing.
LPIA thanks all of the current and former State Committee members for the hours and days of extra service required to deal with this matter in a timely manner.
The LPIA is Iowa’s 3rd largest political party. Libertarians advocate individual freedom, personal responsibility, self-governance, and non-aggression.
