LPIA.org issued a challenge several weeks ago for Iowans to mention Gary Johnson in conversation at least once a day. Johnson has gained name recognition in that time. Today people are far more likely to say, “Yeah, I have an opinion about Johnson as president,” than to ask, “Who is he?” Now, a mere 23 days from Election Day and almost halfway through the absentee voting period, we need your help more than ever. We need to turn that awareness of the candidate into a vote for the Libertarian nominee.
Iowa for Gary Johnson has been making thousands of phone calls to remind Iowans to vote and to vote for Johnson. Volunteers continue to make calls daily, and other volunteers are spending time knocking on doors in the city’s metropolitan communities.
Joel Kurtinitis of Perry, Iowa, contributed a column to the Des Moines Register explaining how a vote for Gary Johnson is more than a vote for president. It is a vote to break the stranglehold of a two-party system on America and Iowa.
There are still yard signs* and bumper stickers available for Johnson-Weld. There are still opportunities to volunteer with the Johnson-Weld campaign or with one of the LPIA county affiliates. There is still time to vote absentee. There are still plenty of opportunities to remind people, “Vote Gary Johnson for president.”
We ask for your vote. We thank you for your vote. We need your vote. We are working to make Iowa a better place to live and raise a family and would like you to join us in that goal.
