In 27 days this election will be over. Libertarian candidates for Iowa House and Senate, as well as a few county offices, have been out knocking on doors and talking with people in their districts for months. In recent weeks, community forums have been held for the public to meet their candidates. Many more forums have been scheduled by various organizations for the days ahead. Newspapers will soon be running responses to candidate questionnaires. We ask you, the voters, to consider our candidates and urge you to vote Libertarian.
It is very easy to find information on presidential candidates online or through broadcast media. Local candidates are often learned about through word of mouth and small town newspapers, as well as meeting them at community events and local businesses. Many of our candidates for these district races find it more beneficial to be out in their communities meeting people than spending time updating social media. If you are in a district with a Libertarian candidate, or know someone in one of those districts, please reach out to your friends and family and let them know they have a choice.

Meet Dave Cork, candidate for House District 70, including Cedar Rapids. Here is a link to his Facebook page. As Election Day nears Dave is re-posting his positions on various issues so voters who are becoming more and more aware there are Libertarian options can easily find his views.
In a post from October 8, 2016, talking about going out door knocking, Dave said, “The one consistent thing I’m seeing is that people are fed up with politics as usual.”

Meet Bob Boyle, candidate for House District 20, including Adair and Guthrie Counties. In a post on his Facebook page, Bob asks, ‘The majority of Americans believe the 2-party system is failing us. Why do we continue to support it?” As can be seen in the picture from the Guthrie County Fair where Bob hosted a Dunk the Politician game, Redefining Politics is the theme of his campaign. The Perry Chief ran an article on Bob when he received the Libertarian Party’s nomination.

Meet Nick Serianni, candidate for Senate District 6, in the middle of the 4th Congressional District. On his Facebook page, Nick promotes the Carroll Chamber of Commerce candidate forum to be held on October 12, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. He also has photos from today, when he visited with residents of Otsego Place, in Storm Lake. Nick also talks about informational cards for his campaign and an article by the Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune.
