In No-Label Municipal Elections, Iowa Libertarians Win

Unofficial results for the November 3, 2015, municipal elections bring good news for Libertarians.

Rockwell City, Iowa, will have an advocate for libertarian principles on its city council. Nathan Gentry received the most votes in a five-person contest to fill three seats on this Calhoun County community’s governing body.

Ryan Ketelsen also won the most votes to take a seat on the Panora city council in Guthrie County. This was a four-person contest. Ryan currently serves the community as a trustee of the county hospital board.

In Hiawatha,  Jacob Bryan was not one of the candidates elected to the city council. The LPIA thanks him for running and offering a libertarian option to voters in this Linn County community.
