Local radio host Jan Mickelson will be the keynote speaker at the LPIA state convention on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Also speaking will be the Libertarian Party’s 2014 candidate for governor, Dr. Lee Hieb. She’ll talk about her latest book, Surviving the Medical Meltdown: Your Guide to Living Through the Disaster of Obamacare. If you listened to either of these people during the campaign, you can hear them at the convention without commercial interruptions. Other features of the convention will include recognition of 2014 candidates, reports on the party’s current status, and election of people to serve on the party’s Executive Committee. for the next two years.
The convention will be held at Fairfield Inn and Suites, located at 8661 Plum Drive in Urbandale from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Voting members of the LPIA who want to attend the business meeting only, may do so without charge. The business meeting usually begins about 1:00 p.m.
