LPIA Sets Date for 2015 Convention

The annual convention of the Libertarian Party of Iowa will be held:

Saturday, March 28, 2015
Fairfield Inn & Suites in Urbandale (8661 Plum Drive)
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (approximately)
Registration opens at 8:30 a.m.

Cost is $25.00 and includes lunch. (After March 20th and at the door: $35.00)

Payment may be made using the Donate button on the sidebar. Simply indicate at the top of the form the purpose is for the 2015 LPIA Convention.  If you are paying for more than one attendee, please indicate the number of people for whom you are paying.

If you prefer to pay by check, mail the payment to: LPIA / PO Box 480 / Des Moines, IA 50302. Be sure to include your contact information as well as the purpose of the payment and the number of attendees.

The general public is invited to attend, as well as all members* of the LPIA. For media interested in covering the event, please contact the state chair at Keith@lpia.org.

The morning session will include speeches and recognition of the LPIA’s 2014 candidates. The keynote speaker will be local radio host Jan Mickelson, speaking on “Libertarianism and the Future of American Politics.” Also speaking will be the Libertarian Party’s 2014 gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Lee Hieb. She will talk about her new book, “Surviving the Medical Meltdown – Obamacare.”

The afternoon session will be the formal business meeting of the LPIA. In odd-numbered years, the business meeting includes elections of the party’s officers and executive committee.

There will be plenty of opportunities to talk with other Libertarians, express your interest in being a future candidate, volunteer for upcoming activities, and generally help to grow the party.

*If you are registered to vote as a Libertarian, you are a member of the LPIA.
