LPIA 2010 Convention

The Libertarian Party of Iowa annual convention will be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2010 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

Location
The Gateway Ames in Ames, IA. has been chosen as the site of the convention. Directions: go West from I-35 on US 30 to same exit as for ISU stadiums, Hotel is immediately South of US 30 at that same exit (fomerly called Elwood Dr.) Hotel phone number is (800) 367-2637

Registration
$25 paid in advance (must be recieved by 4-22-2010). $35.00 at the door.

Schedule
8:00am: Registration desk opens - coffee, fruit, bagels

9:00am - Noon: Information and conversation with prospective candidates and campaign managers. Discussions on running for office, petitioning, influencing officeholders, legislation, free time to check out exhibits and socialize.

9:00am-10:00am: Information & Discussions on legislation, preview of 2010 LP National Convention to be held May 29-31 in St Louis, Mo.

11:00am-Noon: 2009 Candidate Recognitions (All Elected !)

1:00pm-3:00pm: General business meeting. Agenda includes,among other items, petitions/nominations for 2010 candidates,selection of Delegates to 2010 LP National Convention.

3:00pm-4:00pm : LPIA Executive Committee Meeting

4:00pm-? Candidate Rally and other spontaneous social activities
