LPIA 2009 Convention
The Libertarian Party of Iowa annual convention will be held on Saturday, April 25th, 2009 from 9:00 a.m.
until 5:00 p.m.
Location
The Hilton Garden Inn in Johnston, IA. has been chosen as the
site of the convention. Directions: from I-80/35 go north on 86th St. one block and turn left. You're there!
Registration
$25 paid in advance (must be received by 4-22-2009). $35.00 at the door.

Schedule
8:00am: Registration desk opens - coffee, fruit, bagels
9:00am - Noon: Information and conversation with prospective candidates and campaign managers.
Discussions on running for office, petitioning, influencing officeholders, legislation, free time to check
out exhibits and socialize.
10:00am - 11:00 am: Speakers: Libertarian National Committee report.
11:00am - noon: 2008 Candidate Recognitions

Noon - 1:00pm: Catered Lunch. LPIA Chair's report - Ed Wright
1:00pm - 4:00pm: General Business Meeting - free to all Voting (dues paid) members - others may observe, just not vote. Agenda includes, among other items, elections of LPIA Executive Committee and officers.
4:00pm - 5:00pm: LPIA Executive Committee meeting - open to all Voting members.
5:00 p.m. - ?: Social activities, arising spontaneously. There are a variety of coffee shops, restaurants, night clubs, and theaters within a couple blocks of the Hilton Garden Inn.
