Richard Campagna has announced his desire to seek the Libertarian
nomination for Vice President in 2004. His intentions are outlined in
the following announcement:
I will be seeking the Vice Presidential nomination on the Libertarian
ticket in
2004. I have begun garnering support in 10 states (including all of
the big
ones). This includes party leaders, financial supporters and members
of the
general public. My approach is very much low key, pragmatic, optimistic
and
heavily focused on international relations, educational choice and taxation
(the reduction thereof in constitutional fashion). I will also focus
on
Federal Reserve/monetary system reform and a revival of our common law,
both
civilly and criminally. The concept of resuscitating and re-defining
our most
underappreciated constitutional guarantee of "redress of grievances"
is very
much a part of my platform. It is perhaps the most significant plank
of all.
I have a very busy travel schedule, which has already begun. All 50
states +
D.C., the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico should all be visited
at least
once by the time of the national convention. In addition to seeking
a
substantial amount of contingent campaign funds by May of 2004, I have
already
secured an ample travel budget and a network to support same. I invite
email
and other correspondence and discourse from all party members and others
so
that my candidacy can represent virtually every constituency, in the
best
Libertarian tradition. Contingent contributions of any amount will be
warmly
accepted.
Yours in liberty,
Richard V. Campagna
