LPIA > MembershipThe LPIA presently has two categories of membership: Voting and Non-Voting. Both types should
indicate "Libertarian Party" on their Iowa Voter Registration if they are eligible to vote in Iowa. Voting members
pay dues to the state party and have voting rights for LPIA officeholders, platform, resolutions, and other governance
matters of the state party. Voting members may also get state party support for candidacy to elected public office.
Non-Voting members (non-LPIA-dues-paying) may also call themselves "members" of the LPIA and, of course, support candidates
and issues and encourage libertarian thinking and lifestyles. To become a Voting member of LPIA a person pays $20
annually, although many members contribute considerably more. As a Voting member, a person can be a delegte to state and
national conventions, vote in state and national party meetings, seek public office as a candidate of the Libertarian
Party, get our newsletter, get a membership card, and as you wish, engage in the process of helping run the state
party. Our website, www.LPIA.org, is supported by the dues and contributions of Voting members. No "shakedowns" for
political favors or government funding is accepted to finance our website or any activity of the LPIA. Please
consider becoming a Voting member and help deliver our messages of individual freedom and personal responsibility.
