Be an informed voter – follow the Libertarians

The question is not uncommon: “Why don’t I hear about the Libertarians?”

Libertarians on the national scene have as many candidates seeking the party’s presidential nomination as did the Republicans. The Libertarian candidates have also held debates but without a good Internet connection or cable/satellite TV, the debates would not have been viewed. More importantly, the nation’s newspapers, online news sites, talk show hosts, and bloggers did not weigh in on the debates, as they did before and after every Republican and Democrat debate.  To view the debate hosted by Fox Business News featuring the Libertarian candidates for president who polled highest in straw polls held by various state parties, click here.

In Iowa, a few local newspapers highlight the activities and candidacies of Libertarians seeking House and Senate seats, as well as other partisan positions.  Many of those stories are linked to on the LPIA Facebook page. In addition, a few  bloggers stand ready to link to LPIA news reports. For the most part, though, if you are looking for news about Libertarians in Iowa, this site (LPIA.org) is your best resource. In addition to the posts on the homepage, be sure to check out information on Candidates and on News Releases on this site.
